Our Early 4's & Pre-K Teachers and Staff

Melissa Anderson
Melissa began teaching at Our Lady of the Presentation in 2022. She graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Before teaching at OLP ECC, she taught kindergarten, ran an in-home childcare, was a foster parent, was a stay-at-home mom, and was a sub here at the ECC.  Melissa’s children to go OLP and their family attends Our Lady of the Presentation church. She enjoys trying out new restaurants, traveling, her children’s sports, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals!

Brenda Stoddard
Brenda started working at Presentation ECC in 2020.  She worked previously at Grace ECCE, where she worked for seven years as a Special Education/Title para.  She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University, then went to Texas and earned an Early Childhood certificate. She has spent the last 37 years teaching students from birth to adults.  She lives in Belton, where she taught Parish School of Religion for 11 years at St. Sabina Catholic Church. Brenda lives with her husband, Norm, and has three daughters.

Char Hall
Char began working at Presentation ECC in 2012. She began her work at Presentation in one of our toddler rooms as a teacher assistant, has worked in the front office, and is now a Pre-K lead teacher. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Iowa. Char lives in Lee’s Summit with her husband Bill.  Her two daughters Carissa and Callie both live in the Kansas City area.  Char is a proud grandma, to her daughter, Callie's son, Gunner.  Char also has a stepson Justin who lives in Topeka with his wife and three daughters.   

Kristin Sullivan
Hi! My name is Kristin Sullivan. I had the opportunity to be a substitute at the ECC for a few months before I accepted a full-time teaching position in 2022.  I attended Northwest Missouri State University with a major in Child and Family Studies. After college, I became a pre-K teacher in Overland Park, Kansas, and found my love for teaching young children.  I’ve lived in Lee’s Summit for almost 10 years with my husband Rob. We have 2 girls, Lola (2^nd grade), and Myla (1^st grade). They both go to OLP. We love being a part of the OLP community! I also have 2 bonus kids, Aiden and Bella, who are both in college.  

 
Kay Eberle-Bennett
Kay resides in Lee's Summit with her husband, Matthew.  Her daughter is a senior at the University of Arkansas.  She has 3 wonderful step-sons- a police officer and 2 firemen and two beautiful grandchildren.  Kay attended Northwest Missouri State University with a concentration in Vocal Performance, Business Development, K-12 Music and Academic Student Development, and ultimately with a degree in Child and Family Development. Kay has been at Presentation ECC since 2005.  Kay has a strong belief in our program and everything her fellow educators have to offer young children. 

Brooke Kakuske
Brooke began at Our Lady of the Presentation in 2011.  Previously, she worked as a 2-year-old teacher for six years at the Children's Village.  Brooke graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Development.  She lives in Lee's Summit with her husband and 2 children.  She enjoys spending her free time with family and being outside.

Gabby Wald
Hello! I am super excited to start this year with all of you! I am lucky to know a few families from previous years but for those new faces, here is a little about myself! I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from UMKC. I have been in early childhood education since 2015 and at OLP ECC since 2017, having the privilege of working with all ages. I’ve been married to my husband, Sean since 2014. We have three children; Sutton (7), Foster (5), and Miles (3). Sutton and Foster attend OLP School while Miles is here at the ECC! I love reading, spending time outside, hanging out with my family, and being creative and crafty. I look forward to getting to know my new families, and learning and growing with everyone!
