What a fun week we had celebrating Dr. Seuss! We were able to read so many Dr. Seuss books this week. We read, "Cat in the Hat," "The Cat in the Hat Comes Back," "Fox in Socks," "The Lorax," Wacky Wednesday," "I Wish That I Had Duck Feet," "There's A Wocket In My Pocket," and "Marvin K Mooney, Will You Please Go Now!" The children decorated a sock for "Fox in Socks," wrote what they would do to help the earth for "The Lorax," and then wrote which Dr. Seuss book was their favorite. We also made a Dr. Seuss rhyming book. We also worked on the letter U this week. We read, "Commotion in the Ocean," and wrote about what animal we might see under the water. M/W/F class was able to participate in Stretch-N-Grow with Coach Patti. Coach Patti talked about the colors of the rainbow and how it is important to eat a variety of foods with those colors. She does such a wonderful job with the kiddos. T/TH class was able to visit with Fr. Emmanuel this week. He spoke with them about Lent and how Jesus died and three days later was resurrected. While at Church, we were able to observe the Stations of the Cross hanging on the walls. We will be talking more about the Stations starting next week.
Lil Angels will be taking spring pictures again this year. Due to COVID, they will not be dressing children up in outfits, but I think they are still planning to do the graduation pictures for pre-K. You will need to have your child dressed how you want them for pictures on their day. If you would like your child to have their picture taken with a sibling, please let myself and the office know. They would like the older child to take their picture when the younger sibling is scheduled for pictures. Our picture days are scheduled for March 9 & 10.
We are in desperate need of glue sticks. We are down to our last handful and will more than likely run out next week. If you are willing to purchase some glue sticks, it would be greatly appreciated!
Have a wonderful and safe weekend!
God Bless,
Ms. Margaret
