This week
This week week may be short, but we did a lot!!! We started the week by introducing the letter M. We practiced writing it, and we talked about the sound that it makes. This Sunday was the first day of Advent, so we made the Advent wreath. The children colored in teh first flames for this week, and they can color in the other flames each Sunday leading up to Christmas. We did a math activity with M&Ms. The children had to sort the M&Ms by color, then put them on a graph. We then counted the M&Ms, wrote the number, and then determined which M&M color we had the most and least. We experimented with magnets to determine which objects were magnetic and which were not. Father Tom blessed the Advent wreath on Tuesday, and the Monday/Wednesday/Friday class went to Mass on Wednesday. We went to the church to practice our Christmas songs.
Next week
We will be learning about the letter N!! We will be putting number 1-20 in order, and we will be making a noodle necklace. During science, we will talk about nocturnal animal. For religion time, we will be talking about Nativity and what "nativity" means. It is our last full week before Christmas.
No Church Wednesday!
We are closed December 8 for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception
Christmas Program is December 14 in the evening at 6:30:
